Another quick engagement session that I did this week was for John and Andrea. We took advantage of my parents back yard and beach on Lake Shetek in Minnesota and it was a lot of fun.

What a blast Jeanne and I had photographing Deanna and David's wedding in Sioux Falls. They picked a gorgeous location and were blessed with amazing weather. I am posting just a few of my favorites from their day. Oh and Deanna your dress was amazing, I am in awe. Ladies she made her own wedding dress and it was just perfect.

I had the opportunity to take Abby and Jesse's engagement pictures in Sioux Falls this past weekend and here are just a few of the fun shots we captured on a super, windy day. To the lady who let us use your barn and field, Thank you.

This past weekend Patty and I had the opportunity to photography Doug and Dessa's Wedding in Aberdeen. It was a lot of fun as Doug is our cousin so we had a blast seeing all of our family but especially welcoming Dessa to the Marlette Family. Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.

Ok ditto on how I started my last post where did May go? I have been very busy this month with baseball photos and softball pictures are coming up. We also had the pleasure of shooting Rachel and Tyler's Wedding a week ago... Here is just a teaser of my favorite images from the day. . . So far anyway :)

Wow where did the rest of April go? Here it is almost Mother's Day... and we are already a week into May. I want to say congratulations to my seniors from the class of '08 enjoy your graduations you have worked very hard to get where you are be proud of yourselves, I know I am.

I am starting to send out senior class of '09 postcards so watch for them as each one has a different special on them.  The first postcard will go out this next week.  Here is what you should be looking for.

Hi again, I honestly can not believe how much I have been blogging, I hope someone is reading it. (:P) I just wanted to jump on and post the second half to the senior posters. These are going to be printed 4x4 and will be in a pocket on the bottom of the poster for you to take with you... I am having 500 of them printed sooooo... take a couple and give them to your friends too.  Remember there is a referral bonus so hand them out to everyone. Here they are...

Hello everyone, hope you are having a great April. I just wanted to thank the Yankton Bucks baseball teams for letting me photograph them today. What a great group of young men.  I have placed the images files orders and hope to get them all to you by the end of next week. Here are the team photos.

Last but definitely not least, I want to welcome Abby to the IS photo family. I am so excited to see you again Abby and I can not tell you how happy I am for you. Kayti can't wait to see Bailey and Kennedy. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and thank you for letting me be your photographer.

Hi all, thanks for checking in I guess more is happening than I thought this time of year.  I wanted to mention if you are on a sports team in town and your league is not offering a set up shoot for photographs please call me. I will use the same pricing as with the YBA Price list link below. 

Senior 2009 marketing is underway...posters have been designed and ordered so start looking for them around town.  I decided that I am going to do a "Where's the Logo" contest with the senior posters. I am going to be hanging ten (10) senior posters advertising the studio around the area...be one of the first ten seniors to call and book your session and mention seeing the new logo and I will give you .... 50 exchange wallets FREE... yes that beautiful word...Free pictures... whoo hoo.. :) so here are the posters you should be looking for around town...

I will be doing several mailers too; so start looking for them in April.  Each one will have a different design on them but they will all have the red edge, just to help you find us in the pile of postcards the class of 2009 is about to be inundated with.

Hello and welcome back.. Not a lot new to say, just wanted to mention IS Photo will be shooting the Yankton Baseball Association team and individual pictures this Wednesday Evening.  I am linking a pdf file of the price list incase you did not get one. I want mention that the contact phone number for IS Photo has now changed.  The local calling number is now 605-665-2977. My Sioux Falls customers can continue to use the 940-9040 number as that is local to the Sioux Falls area. I will be updating all the contact information so if it changes on you...you know why.

I am going to put up a quick headshot I did this week. As this portion of the blog's photograph. It is a family member but we are all pretty proud of him as he is the new or will soon be the new director of the South Dakota Retired Teachers Association. So if you are a teacher in South Dakota... get to know him... he will be working for you.

Finally today, I just wanted to say welcome to David and Deanna. I am looking forward to photographing your wedding.

Hello and welcome to the IS Photo Blog...

I have been struggling with how to start out my blog and this weekend was the perfect start. I attended the Ed Pierce Captivated by the Light Seminar in Omaha, NE and now have a ton of great ideas I want to try running through my head. I hope that I can effectively capture a touch of his talent and transfer it to your images because he is a fantastic inspiration. If you have a session scheduled in the next few weeks don't be surprised if I ask you to try something a bit off... :)

Also, when in Omaha I was able to photograph the children at my sister Nicki's Day Care. We had fun and captured some truly cute Easter pictures. I have a ton more to edit but here is the first one...

Isn't he a doll?  I have more coming so check back soon.

I also wanted to touch on the Senior Ambassadors Program for the class of 2009. I am still looking for senior ambassadors for the upcoming year. I am taking one from each school (two from Yankton). Here it the deal for being a senior ambassador (which basically means you get to tell people about IS Photo and how to find us) you will get your senior picture session done free. I will give you 100 wallets to hand out to people (they will have my contact information on them). For every session that is held by your referral, you will receive a $20 print credit and the senior who refers the most friends to IS Photo by January 31, 2009 will receive a $200 Visa gift card as well as 100 custom graduation announcements.  So it is a great deal for you...  If you are interested please call me as soon as possible so we can get your session booked and finalize any details.

Last but not least, I am going to officially unveil the new IS Photo LOGO... Yeah... this probably is not as big a deal for you as it has been for me but I have been struggling with this for awhile.  So without further ado.. (is ado really a word?)... the new logo... look for it around town...maybe I will start a where's Waldo contest with my logo...let me think on that a bit...
